Genealogy of the Ittels of the World
In addition to pottery, I do genealogy. Most of it is focused on the ancestry of my grandchildren.
Current editions of their respective books are attached. I have also been working on the genealogy
of all of the Ittels in the world. For some other family names, this would be a daunting task, but for
the name, Ittel, there have not been that many of us.
The preliminary drafts of chapters given below start on one individual and then trace all of their
descendents that I can find. In any given couple, if either parent is named Ittel, then I give their
children. If the female was the Ittel the children would normally not be named Ittel so I have not
given the children of the non-Ittels.
There have been others who have traced Ittel families before me and for all of their work made
publicly available, I am greatly indebted. The PDF file below is in the form of a book with Table of
Contents and a reasonably comprehensive Index at the end. To find yourself in the book, I would
recommend the Index.
This top-down genealogy starts with the Ittels
from long ago and in many cases, traces their
genealogy down to the present day. There are
also quite a few loose ends that I would
eventually like to find homes for.
This is the version of 6 Sep 2023.
This bottom-up genealogy starts with my
three Lundgren granddaughters and traces
their genealogy through more than 12
generations with many Mayflower
connections. It also shows relationships to
many Presidents and one line back past
Charlemagne.
This bottom-up genealogy starts with my
California grandson and traces his
genealogy through more than 12
generations with Mayflower connections. It
also shows his relationship to Jean Lafitte,
pirate and hero of the Battle of New
Orleans.
